This very rare large 3 dimensional Petrified Wood With Quartz which is from Zwenkau, Leipzig, Saxony, Germany 🇩🇪

We have wanted to source this crystal from before we officially named Laura’s Crystal Tea U.K. This mineral was mined before 2010 and is one of the most sought after crystal with a beauty that I am fascinated with. This material has been underwater since 2013, which means they are no longer mined and highly sought after.

This petrified wood dates from 291 million years, from the eruption of the Zeisigwald Volcano. The trees in this area were uprooted or snapped off by this eruption by the explosion of and covered by Tephra (mixed materials from the volcano). Over the following years, this area of tempura covered forest began the fossilisation process due to the presence of silica acid, which preserved this material. The fossilised wood are also coated in beautiful Quartz, giving each piece an amazing sparkle ✨

Specimens should not be washed and must be handled with care. We suggest that they are placed on infrequently used furniture or shelves and display cabinets.  They do not cope with being dropped, so we urge caution when handling them. 

We stock a limited amount of stands, so we will add them in ACCESSORIES section as we get stock in. 

These are earth mined crystal, this means there will be a variation of colour, shape and size. All sizes are approximate and vary from piece to piece.
