About Northern Lights Fluorite
Introducing the Northern Lights Fluorite from the River Catcher Vein, Diana Maria Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham, U.K. These beautiful colour change fluorites have the classic green to navy colour change from indoors to outside lighting. This fluorite has a bright green colour with secondary hints of yellow, making them a bright colour in comparison to the other pockets we have stocked.
One of the fascinating and unique characteristics of the Northern Lights Pocket is the combination of octahedral Galena crystals with the Fluorite. This mixture of minerals also means that the fluorites clarity has galena showing through, adding some beautiful inclusions. This pocket also contains Quartz and many of these specimens have Milky Quartz, Citrine or Smokey Quartz.
