#10 Raw Milky Way Blue Fluorite Small Specimen From Sutcliffe Vein at the Diana Maria Mine, U.K. 🇬🇧

These pieces are from the famous Milky Way Fluorite from the Sutcliffe Vein at the Diana Maria Fluorite Mine in the U.K.  

This blue and yellow fluorite has a beautiful teal colour, with many specimens showing some blue and some yellow hints. These specimens also have a core of white flourite which creates the unique appearance of the Milky Way solar system. 

This specimen are extra small and small size.   

This piece has Gelena inset into the Fluorite cluster.

Milky Way Fluorite

Introducing our 2024 stock of Milky Way Blue Fluorite from the Sutcliffe Vein at the Diana Maria Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham, U.K. These are one of my personal favourite of this areas fluorite specimens.

These fluorites are a mixture of inky blue and rich purple, with the blue being a deep and rich inky blue. These specimens have stunning zoning, with an inky blue edge, purple zone and the core is a mixture of the two colours. They often have Quartz sugars and bases, which are frequently found at the mine. The last feature of these specimens means they mainly have a white swirl in the centre of the fluorite, which is where it got its name from, looking like a Milky Way 🌌

Specimen Information ℹ️ 

Specimens should not be washed and must be handled with care. We suggest that they are placed on infrequently used furniture or shelves and display cabinets.  They do not cope with being dropped, so we urge caution when handling them. 

We stock a limited amount of stands, so we will add them in ACCESSORIES section as we get stock in. 

These are earth mined crystal, this means there will be a variation of colour, shape and size. All sizes are approximate and vary from piece to piece.
